CIHI wants to hear from you!

We are pleased to announce the launch of the:

1) Draft Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework Version 1, September 2024
2) Draft CACDI Version 1, September 2024, aligned with CA Core+ v0.3.0 and
3) Open Review.

Together, these products provide the data foundation for advancing interoperability in Canada. The Canadian Core Data for Interoperability (CACDI) is a subset of the Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework and defines a standardized set of essential health data elements and value sets in the context of a common data architecture to enable interoperability across the Canadian health care ecosystem.

The Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework includes proposed pan-Canadian gender, sex and sexual orientation (GSSO) data standards that have been developed based on British Columbia’s GSSO Health Information Standard and Guidance. These standards have been developed to help improve data capture and collection across Canada and to help build a more equitable and inclusive health care system for all Canadians.

Open Review

We continue to invite feedback on these products. The Open Review for the Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework’s CACDI and Common Data Architecture is now available. The Open Review runs from October 1 to November 29, 2024.

We thank you in advance for sharing your expertise and knowledge. Visit the Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework product page to provide your feedback.
