Attendees
• Michael Savage
• John Wills
• Rita Pyle
• Jason Lin
• Paula Lee
• Shamil Nizamov
• Tim Berezny

Welcome
• Welcome Paula Lee!
• Welcome (back) John Wills

Updates
• From eReferral > New HealthService API being deployed soon
• From eServices (ECE) > SMART on FHIR launch with Epic
• Many on the call would be interested in joining & participating in a SMART on FHIR Community of Practice if one were to be created under the FHIR Implementers Community umbrella
• For a SOFCOP to be successful, it needs to have a concrete and tangible goal, something the group knows it’s working toward
• Deliverables / Outputs discussed by the group:
• Canadian SMART on FHIR application repository / app gallery
• national governance & standardization of SMART on FHIR applications
• better understanding of how SOF applications communicate with EMRs / EHR asset
• consolidation of the provincial efforts (ECE, OMD, PHSA, etc.) on SOF apps / eForms libraries
• include Vendors who are the ‘launchers’ of these SOF applications / eForms in the COP as well
• At least one person / group needs to raise their hand to chair this group if it’s going to be a real thing
• action item: Paula Lee to socialize this opportunity with her eServices team to see if there’s openness to her / them chairing this COP
• Shamil is good to promote this hopeful COP with his groups in BC
• Would be great from someone from Smile CDR to participate in the group as well
• Group feels that the scope of the COP should start off as focused on SMART on FHIR and can reasonably grow to include more topics as time and the work progresses

eReferral Stream Updates
• Good progress toward publishing a series of changes to the Spec
• HealthService Spec moving forward and being deployed soon
• Ocean <> CHRIS integration using eReferral Spec; go-live predicted for end of this fiscal quarter

Canadian FHIR Baseline Profiles Stream Updates
• Work progressing in both Due Diligence Review and Governance Sub-streams
• For Due Diligence Review (comparing CA Baseline Profiles to Profiles in live Canadian FHIR Implementations), currently working through eReferral FHIR iGuide, continuing this Friday at 2pm
• For Governance, currently reviewing a ‘pitch deck’ with the group; planning to request for agenda time at jurisdictional groups’ meetings to explain our initiative and request for advocacy toward our larger goal of acquiring governance and support from pan-Canadian groups
