Updates

• Mike and Sheridan walked the group through the new profiling substream structure, and indicated the leads of the two operating groups and their meeting times
o Individuals & Entities: Meeting weekly on Monday from 2-3pm EST
o Medications: Meeting weekly on Monday from 12-1pm EST
• First sessions of the weekly meetings begin on Monday November 25th 2019
• Also walked through the standard template to be used by substream leads to report-in on the profile changes agreed upon in their respective streams, to be announced during the bi-weekly Friday Profiling calls
• The template is intended to provide transparency around what each substream has decided in their weekly calls; each group will likely have more detailed templates / tools that they use during their own calls
• The template is intended to be used during the calls, BUT the rationale / description of the change could be pretty easily pulled from the template when the time comes to add that context into the Implementation Guide
• Question (maybe more for the governance stream to tackle): when in the overall process of this initiative do we want to start to work on the iGuide?
• Opportunity for community involvement: working on the human-readable shell that goes around the structure definition of each profile
• Thoughts are that the structure definitions can get updated as we go (i.e. once the change is reported-in during the bi-weekly calls, can get committed in the structure definition); non-SD changes could get actioned once a substream agrees they’ve concluded their review of a particular profile
• Group can follow-up with other ideas for good tracking tools to use in the substreams
• Action item: figure out the best / most efficient place to house these bi-weekly reports
• Action item: Sheridan and Mike to consolidate their process artefacts and send over to Harsh for review to consider in relation to the HL7 harmonization process
