• ACTION ITEM – Tim – Draft plan for promoting and socializing FHIR-based eReferral work; ideas discussed: COACH Webinar Wednesdays – re-visit re: eReferral Spec in a couple of months; Event at FHIR North; Create IHE Profile – More appropriate for someone else to take work being done in this stream and translate to IHE Profile
• ACTION ITEM – Savage – Add new work stream to landing page content
• ACTION ITEM – Ron, Attila – “What's Different about FHIR?” communication - RP to send existing internal article to AF, AF to have it published on InfoCentral
• ACTION ITEM – Harsh, Attila – HS to send article to AF, AF to have it published on InfoCentral
• ACTION ITEM – Yaron, Attila – Post FHIR Presentation content from Partnership Conference on FHIR WG site

Agenda and Action Items Review

• Reviewed the action items still open from last month, and those which have closed since last month
New Work Stream – SMART on FHIR / CDS Hooks
• Attila Farkas provided the updates
• Kickoff meeting for the SMART on FHIR work stream was held Friday Nov. 17th
• Consensus – get started with a focus on the SMART on FHIR component of the work stream, and move on to the CDS Hooks portion once the SMART on FHIR work is more matured in the group
• First official meeting is Friday Nov. 24th; Gavin to present the business case for SMART on FHIR
Canada Health Infoway Partnership Conference
• Good interest in FHIR from small businesses / start-ups as well as larger organizations and jurisdictions
• ACTION ITEM – Based on some questions asked at the conference, we need a communication for a “what’s different?” about FHIR
• ACTION ITEM – Attila to receive Harsh’s article to publish on InfoCentral
• ACTION ITEM – Yaron and Attila to post FHIR content from Partnership Conference
• Presentation from Partnership Conference will be re-done in HL7 Community Call on December 5th

HL7 Community Call

• Melva Peters gave the overview and updates
• New elections to HL7 Canada council
• Upcoming ballot cycles are increasingly important if you think there are issues with the base resources / standard

FHIR Implementation Survey

• Yaron debriefed the FHIR WG Experience Survey results
• Results are posted in Documents section of the FHIR WG

eReferral

• John Wills provided the update
• Diagrams showing relationships between FHIR resources involved in the eReferral Spec
• Discussions continue on terminologies, which will impact search parameters
• eReferral will be presented in New Orleans at HL7 Round Table
• Implementation Guide for eReferral being drafted in Canadian FHIR Registry (Simplifier.net)

Tooling

• Attila provided the updates
• Demonstrations on how to use the Canadian FHIR Registry platform (Simplifier.net) well
• More external presentations to follow

Solution Architecture

• Igor provided the update
• URI work continues
• Hosted presentation on FHIR-based system testing tools, as well as testable mock-patient databases and servers
• Chris Mota to present new plans for OntarioMD’s FHIR-based HRM solution
• Previous presentations are recorded and posted on the FHIR Forum
