FHIR Promotion on Infoway Newsletter

• Discussed organizations to reach out to for increased FHIR promotion and exposure (ITAC, Gevity Inc.)
• ACTION ITEM – Gavin, Savage – draft FHIR article for Infoway’s Dispatch (Digital Health Alliance) Newsletter

Infoway Partnership Conference

• Involvement focused on ‘FHIR in Canada’ (interoperability stream of conference)
• A conference goal: gain momentum from Alberta and west coast re: the FHIR working group
• IMPORTANT to communicate that FHIR is a national story/initiative, not just an Infoway one

FHIR Implementations Survey

• UPDATE – Survey has been drafted (survey monkey)
• ACTION ITEM – Savage – make final edits and release survey link to full working group

Updates to the FHIR Implementation WG Landing Page

• ACTION ITEM – Savage – bi-monthly review of content on landing page

Registries

• UPDATE – At next Community Call (October 25th), will have discussion re: rethinking/renewing/retiring the work stream
• ACTION ITEM – Discuss Registries work stream at October Community Call (Oct 25th)

eReferral

• UPDATE – high-level process flow and architecture developed
• UPDATE – prototype of FHIR-based eReferral system developed (can be demonstrated)
• Looking for people / projects that want to ‘build themselves’ into this model
• ACTION ITEM – Tim – draft plan for promoting and socializing FHIR-based eReferral work (ideas discussed: COACH Webinar Wednesdays/Non-developer contexts/event at FHIR North/event at Health Achieve/create IHE Profile)

Tooling

• UPDATE – going with Simplifier.net, as a ‘national registry’ for FHIR profiles, value sets, mappings
• Planning to present this update at Infoway Partnership Conference

Solution Architecture

• Good progress on getting URIs from jurisdictions in ON/NB/NS/BC/AB
• Discussed options for addressing current jurisdictional gaps
• UPDATE – IG publisher tool session posted on Solution Architecture thread
• Open call for more topics to engage in!
