SNOMED CT to ICD-11 MMS preview map now available

During 2019 & 2020, SNOMED International worked with suppliers to prototype the automated creation of a map between SNOMED CT and ICD-11 Mortality and Morbidity Statistics (ICD-11 MMS). This work and the subsequent feedback led to a project during 2021 to produce a full map from SNOMED CT to ICD-11 MMS using the same techniques, providing a pragmatic and cost-effective solution to Member's immediate needs with regards to reporting using ICD-11 MMS.

This work has been successful and the preview map is now available for Members to download and provide feedback before SNOMED International produces the first version of this full map by the end of Q1 2022. The first version will update the preview map with the most recent SNOMED CT version (January 2022) and the most recent ICD-11 MMS version (February 2022), and incorporate any feedback received in the meantime.
