We are planning to pilot a series of beginner education sessions for folks that are not at all familiar with standards and why they are important or needed.
The series kicks off in January and starts off by introducing the audience to a patient with a medical problem.
At a high level, the presentation shows the patient visiting his doctor, having some tests ordered etc and then the information flowing through the system.
We plan to follow up with introductory sessions on general terminology, LOINC, SNOMED CT etc. that build upon this story.
Once the full schedule is finalized, more details will follow.
The education is free and we certainly welcome feedback.
Seema has posted about the session to her Medication Management community and her posting can be found here:

This was also advertised in the issue of Dispatch that was released recently and can also be found under Event on InfoCentral.
All are welcome.
If you have any questions about this or the series at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Thank you.
Regards,
Beverly
