Hello all
We on the CCDD Team would be grateful for thoughts from the community on how to describe the strength, usually of the estrogenic component, in oral contraceptives. There appears to be no clear preference as to whether to say "20 mcg" of (say) ethinyl estradiol, or "0.02 mg".
Some healthcare cultures are clear that leading zeros should not be used, which rules out the 0.02 mg option; other cultures and practice appear to allow both options.
We are actively seeking the views of the knowledgebase vendors and the ISMP, but we'd be very pleased to hear the view of this community.
Many thanks
