For those who have worked directly with the staff at DICOM International and particularly, Lisa Spellman, please see her notice below.
Dear DICOM Community,
As many of you have heard (and apologies for cross-posting which will make this a repeat message for many), I’m stepping down from my duties as DICOM General Secretary. My last day is 2 January 2020. I am joining SAE Industry Technologies Consortia®, an affiliate of SAE International® as an Executive Director helping to secure and operate new global consortia in several sectors including aerospace, automotive, finance, pharma, and healthcare worldwide.
As I wrote in a previous note to the DICOM leadership, I’ve struggled to find the best words to convey my appreciation, respect, and gratitude for each DICOM member. Two years have gone by quickly. DICOM is an important organization doing critical work to help support and continuously improve medical imaging leading to improved patient safety and outcomes. It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of this activity.
Patrick Hope, MITA Executive Director, will be in touch soon with move-forward details. I look forward to working with each of you and Luiza to wrap up my work and ensure a smooth transition.
Please feel welcome to contact us with any questions.
With greatest respect and appreciation and a happy holiday season to all,
