Offered by HL7 International, the HL7 Fundamentals Course provides an introduction to HL7 and its family of standards. This is an instructor-facilitated online course that is completed at your own pace over 15 weeks. The goal of this course is to provide students with technical experience using HL7 standards.

Learn about creating and exchanging electronic healthcare information for:
• Pharmacy orders and prescriptions
• Laboratory test orders and results
• Patient administration notifications (admission, transfer, discharge)
• Scheduling
• Continuity of care/discharge summary/referral letter/consultation notes

Who should attend this course?
Anyone who is new to HL7 and wants to gain technical experience using the standards (no previous experience using HL7 is necessary to participate)
