Hi Randy,

We have a request to change the meaning of an OID that is already established and in use.
The OID in question is 2.16.840.1.113883.4.56 which currently exists in the OID registry as the Quebec Personal Health Number.

We have confirmed that there are systems that are using that OID for its currently stated purpose but the request is still being made to change it.
The requestor will be coming to the meeting on Tuesday to discuss the issue.

Hope you can make it.

Joanie

Hello Everyone:

I am scheduling a special meeting of HL7 Canada Community for April 19th.

This is to replace the cancelled April 6th call, but also to address an urgent issue that has arisen around the OID registered for HL7 Canada Public Healthcare Numbers.

Please join us for this conversation, as it likely have an impact on many systems going forward. If you know someone in your organization or community of users who has a role in the use of this OID, please advise them of this call.

You can find the scheduled event HERE .
