I’m looking for the pan-Canadian or International standards. Where can I find them?

Standards continue to be key piece of advancing interoperability. They feature prominently as resources and solutions in both the communities and working groups. In the Standards communities, you can monitor what is going on within Canada and internationally, participate in the evolution of the standards through ballots and voting, and get engaged in all aspects of standards work.

Explore the pan-Canadian standards resources on messaging and terminology.

Visit the international standards communities for HL7, FHIR Implementations, IHE, ISO, and Health Terminologies.

The purpose of the working group is to collaborate on the various aspects of the specification including reviewing and providing feedback on the latest release.

After careful consideration, we have decided to conclude this working group. Some recent proposals extend beyond the group’s original purpose and would require broader national consultation. We encourage implementers to continue submitting document ontology requests through the established Request for Change (RFC) process. This ensures all proposals are reviewed consistently and represent pan-Canadian perspectives. Thank you all for your participation, and to Dr. Bekker for your contributions to this working group. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the standards team.
