John is involved in the international standards development and the promulgation of those standards. He is currently Co-chair of the HL7 Security workgroup, a member of the FHIR Foundation, FHIR core team, and co-chair of IHE IT Infrastructure Technical Committee, as well as numerous other initiatives.
