Advance Notice: SNOMED CT Database Closure: August 01, 2025

August 01, 2025, is the cut off day to accept any terminology changes to the SNOMED CT database. Requests for change (RFCs) received prior to this date are candidates for publication in the August 31, 2025, release of the Canadian Edition of SNOMED CT (SNOMED CT CA). Any RFCs received after this date will be in scope for the next Canadian Edition Release in November.

SNOMED CT is the largest and most comprehensive medical terminology in the world. The SNOMED CT Canadian Edition contains concepts that are specific for use in Canada and is maintained by Infoway.

You can submit or follow requests in InfoRMS (Infoway Request Management System). Visit the  SNOMED CT RFC Dashboard  to view the next release.
