Hello everyone:
Here is an updated HL7 Jan 2026 Ballot Package.
This package addresses an incorrect link to the first full ballot of FHIR Release 6, and corrects a problem with accessing the ballot comment sheets.
Also I had a typo in my response. Ballot Spreadsheets are due Comments on of the ballot items are due for consolidation by the HL7 Canada Council on or before Wednesday, Jan 14th, 2026.

Yes, you are correct.
Thanks for flagging this, Elliot. I agree the BALLOTED SPECIFICATION URL should point to the root FHIR R6 ballot rather than the specific ballot-intro.html page.
As you noted, the current value prevents submitters from entering the correct page URL when logging issues on the Ballot tab, which will directly impact issue submission.
We should correct this in the ballot package as soon as possible to avoid blocking feedback during the ballot window.
Thanks again for catching.
Best,
Anil

Ron,
I was just alerted that there's an error in the ballot package. The spreadsheet for the FHIR R6 ballot has a "BALLOTED SPECIFICATION URL" of "hl7.org/fhir/6.0.0-ballot4/ballot-intro.html". I think this should be hl7.org/fhir/6.0.0-ballot4 instead. The impact is that when listing an issue on the "ballot" tab, you can't actually enter the URL of the page with the issue.
We should get this fixed ASAP so people can submit their issues.
Elliot.

Hello HL7 Canada Community.
Here is the link to the HL7 International 2026 January Ballot package .
Please note that this ballot includes the final normative content for FHIR Release 6. If you are at all engaged with HL7 FHIR you should review this specification, and comment on it.
This compressed folder contains an Excel spreadsheet that provides an index to all of the content for this ballot, as well as the spreadsheets you can use to provide your ballot comments. Most of the ballot content is from the FHIR website, however there is other downloaded content that has been extracted from their individual ZIP files and then consolidated here in this package for your convenience. At the very top of the Excel index is a link to the description of all of the items in the ballot package.
Simply download the Ballot Package ZIP file, create a folder for the extracted files, and then extract all to that folder.
Then use the hyperlinks in the Excel ballot index file to access ballot items content and related comment spreadsheets. Each comment spreadsheet has an extensive explanation of how to record your comments.
Comments on of the ballot items are due for consolidation by the HL7 Canada Council on or before Wednesday, Sept 3rd, 2025.
Once you have completed a ballot comment spreadsheet, use the | Contact US | link at the top of any Infocentral page to submit the your comment spreadsheets.
Thanks very much. If you have any questions about the ballot or the comment submission process contact Cette adresse courriel est protégée contre les robots spammeurs. Vous devez activer le JavaScript pour la visualiser.
