Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework: Development of Medical Imaging Data Standards
Session description and objectives:
The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) is co-designing a national data content standard, including Medical Imaging data standards within the Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework (PCHDCF). The Data Content Standard defines essential data elements and value sets necessary for Connected Care. It specifies the types of data to be collected, such as diagnoses, and the languages and formats to be used, such as SNOMED CT codes.
In this session, Sandra and Uyen will provide a high-level summary of the PCHDCF and present current activities and development of the Medical Imaging module to support interoperability. The session will also highlight opportunities for cross-community alignment and invite imaging experts to contribute to the review of the Medical Imaging content. For more information, please visit CIHI’s Connected Care webpage.
The webinar panel will address:
- Overview of the Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework
- Medical imaging data standards – development process, guiding sources, consultations
- Opportunities for involvement
