You are invited to join the new pan-Canadian Document Ontology Working Group meeting series, created to launch collaborative work on building a shared foundation for standardized document titles and categories to support the exchange of health information in Canada.

Meeting Series:

• Start date: Monday September 22, 2025 

• Frequency: Every 2 weeks on Mondays at 11-Noon (ET)

• Number of Meetings: 4 (initial series; a new series will follow as needed)

Purpose :
This initial series will focus on examining the two document ontologies currently deployed in Canada (in British Columbia and Ontario). By exploring these approaches, we aim to identify the key characteristics of a pan-Canadian ontology that is both practical and scalable across jurisdictions. Together, we will define the purpose, goals, and scope of the working group and begin building a standard that can make a real difference in healthcare.
