We’re pleased to announce that the March 2026 release of the pan-Canadian LOINC Observation Code Database (pCLOCD) is now available and accessible on the Terminology Server .

This release continues to support standardized lab and clinical observations across Canada, aligning with the latest LOINC version and reinforcing consistent, high-quality data exchange across jurisdictions and care settings.

We strongly encourage you to review the Highlights for Implementers section in the release notes.

This section is especially important as it calls out:
  • New content additions based on requests for change
  • Edits and updates to existing codes that could affect current implementations, including potential changes to LOINC components, properties, method, or pan-Canadian nomenclature
  • Guidance on areas requiring attention to ensure alignment with the latest standards and avoid downstream inconsistencies

As you explore this release, please share any questions and feedback on new or updated content, as well as insights on how these updates are impacting your implementation work

Your input continues to shape and strengthen pCLOCD for the entire community. Thank you!
