CA Core+ defines a foundational set of FHIR profiles, extensions, and terminology artifacts designed to advance healthcare interoperability by standardizing data exchange while also harmonizing existing pan-Canadian and jurisdictional healthcare specifications.
Join CA Core+ Working Group
We would like to formally extend an invitation to the community to join the working group with the first kick-off meeting on January 12, 2026 at 1pm-2pm Eastern Time . The focus of the first kick off meeting is to learn about CA Core+ and its role in the Canadian FHIR IG landscape.
The primary goal for the working group will be to review the latest CA Core+ specification and submit feedback. We are looking for representation from individuals who have an interest in progressing CA Core+ across the digital health landscape in Canada.

How to Join:
To join the CA Core+ working group, please follow these steps:
1. If you do not currently have an InfoCentral account, please use this link to register for one: infocentral.infoway-inforoute.ca/en/register. If you already have an InfoCentral account, please proceed to step 2.
2. Once you have successfully registered and logged into InfoCentral, on the homepage you will find a banner at the top that includes a section called "Communities". Under “Communities”, you will see the public working groups including CA Core+ in the drop down menu (towards right hand side)
3. Once you click on the CA Core+ working group, you will see a “Join Group” button.
4. From there, under the “Events” of the CA Core+ group you will see details on any upcoming meetings. At this time we are coordinating the first kick off meeting for January 12, 2026. In addition, tabs such as Forum, Documents, etc will be used to post more information about the working group.
