• Sheridan walked the group through the progress on the Due Diligence Review – currently working through the IPS FHIR iGuide
• The group discussed which jurisdictional committees could be tapped so that we can get on one of their upcoming agendas and present the pitch deck
• In general we should expect some delays due to how busy these relevant groups will be with more directly COVID-related issues
• BC – technical committee in BC MOH is already reviewing the CA Baseline and the overall intent is to use the CA Baseline as a starting point for provincial projects involving FHIR iGuide generation
• Alberta – HISCA Committee would be the group to talk to
• Randy can relay our request for agenda time over to the committee
• Ontario – Ontario Health Business Technical Committee – would work with Ken and Sue to coordinate agenda time for this committee
• Canada Health Infoway opportunity: proposed strategy to require any project which is wanting to be built within the Canadian FHIR Registry on Simplifier.net to use the CA Baseline as a starting point for that iGuide
• This would be a great way to get implementers to get in front of the CA Baseline, review it, and ultimately start to deal with implementing it; a great way to get implementers to review the Baseline profiles (i.e. external community review)
• Once we’ve got out jurisdictional committee sessions locked in, we can start to look at the Vendors that we’d like to book meeting time with to provide a similar pitch to
Next steps ultimately are to work with the relevant contacts in these jurisdictions and get these sessions scheduled
The agenda for this Friday's CA Baseline Governance meeting:
1. Update on Due Diligence Review Progress
2. Plans beyond the Pitch Deck - What are the initial committees we want to pitch this to? And how do we get on the identified Jurisdictional committees' agendas to deliver these pitches? For the ones where we don't have strong connections, how do we get in front of those audiences?
Improving the quality of patient care through the effective sharing of clinical information among health care organizations, clinicians and their patients.
