On behalf of Infoway and the HL7 Canada Council, we would like to provide an update on the 2026 HL7 Canada Council election.

Following the close of voting, the results for the Member-at-Large positions for the upcoming 2 year term have been finalized. We are pleased to announce that:

Lorraine Constable has been elected as the Private Sector Member-at-Large

We extend our sincere congratulations to Lorraine and Randy on their election. We are confident that their continued contributions will further strengthen the HL7 Canada community and support ongoing advancements in healthcare interoperability across the country.

Regarding the HL7 Canada Chair position, the vote resulted in a tie. A second round of voting will take place next week to determine the Chair. Additional details regarding the timing and process will be shared next week.
