Hello,
Statistics Canada is working on addressing information gaps on Canada’s LGBTQ2+ population, and is updating and developing metadata standards (definitions and categories of a concept) to better respond to the information needs of LGBTQ2+ communities.
In response to this data need, Statistics Canada invites you to provide feedback on the proposed updated gender and new sexual orientation and LGBTQ2+ standards. These will enable Statistics Canada to publish more data about diverse groups of Canadians, and provide evidence for policy and program planning and evaluation.
For more information and to review the standards, please access the following link: Participate in the consultation on gender and sexual diversity metadata standards.
Feedback on the proposed standards can be provided by email in English or French to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. In your response, please include your name and your organization (if you are proposing changes on behalf of an organization). The consultation is open until March 12, 2021.
We encourage you to share this information with your colleagues and contacts who would be interested in providing feedback.
Thank you.

Bonjour,
You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Merci.
