About

The Lab Implementers Working Group is composed of laboratory data representatives from across Canadian jurisdictions. Several members have expressed interest in formalizing this group so it can convene as needed to help guide the development of LOINC and pCLOCD. While the group already serves as an advisory body for naming conventions, editorial guidelines, and the principles and rules that shape the pCLOCD development process, it also provides advice on content changes, contributes to development activities, and shares best practices for implementation.

By establishing a dedicated space on InfoCentral, we aim to move beyond email-based exchanges and create an online hub for information sharing, discussion, and collaboration. This space will support jurisdictional lab implementation and maintenance activities, address challenges, discuss LOINC updates, and advance pan-Canadian alignment. The group will also serve as a valuable forum for promoting interoperability across jurisdictions and fostering the exchange of knowledge and experience.
