Canadian Medical Association (CMA) 2017 Workforce Survey Results

In 2014, Canada’s only national inquiry with practicing physicians in primary and specialist practice - the National Physician Survey (NPS) - formally ended. To support annual planning and to fill the data gap, the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) led the development of the 2017 Workforce Survey.

On August 31, the results of the Workforce Survey were released. The full survey examined everything from working hours, training, job satisfaction and use of technology. Infoway was delighted to see that EMR adoption and use is now reported to be 85 percent nationally.

The full results of the Workforce survey can be found on www.cma.ca. Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.
